Deacon is the epitome of the perfect retriever.  He is a 75lb. handsome black lab (yellow factored), with a very muscular build.  He will sit in a goose blind for hours and then retrieve marked and blind birds with unending desire and endurance.  At an impressive one and a half years of age, Deac received his UKC Hunting Retriever and Hunting Retriever Champion titles.  On August 4, 2007 he earned the AKC Master Hunter title.  Along with his wonderful temperament, Deacon is a gun-dog hunter’s dream! Deacon's hips have been certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, and his eyes have been certified by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation.

HR Shadow Girl Van Hyfte JH
Shadow is a 6o lb. female with excellent upland and waterfowl retriever skills.     She is relentless when it comes to tracking and flushing out pheasants, quail and grouse.  Shadow’s Sire, Sievers Hard Huntin Hunter, is one of the top stud dogs in the entire state of Illinois.  Shadow received both the UKC Hunting Retriever title and the AKC Junior Hunter title, despite having a litter last year.  A typical hard-working mother!  Shadow exemplifies the wonderful combination of a great companion that always gets the job done. Shadow's hips have been certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, and her eyes have bee certified by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation.

Mud Creeks Jet Raven JH
Raven was whelped on Jan 24 2006.  She came to us from "Stumptowns" Kennel in Wisconsin.  Kurt Turner (breeder) is well known in the field trial and hunt test circuits.  Raven’s pedigree is loaded with Hall of Fame Field Trial Champions (view pedigree).  She earned her Junior Hunter AKC Title on June 30th 2007 and is currently training for her Master Title. In addition to being a stylish, talented hunt test pup, she is 55 pounds of muscle and speed.  She has become one of our primary gun dogs.  We have hunted pheasants, quail, ducks, and geese across the Midwest.  Raven's bloodline is loaded with talent and she proudly displays her talent in every hunt.  She is a natural marker and runs her blinds extremely well.  We really enjoy watching her hunt, flush and retrieve pheasants. We have hunted Raven in many different waterfowl settings; (boats, blinds, coffin blinds, tree stands, remote stands).  She is a very sensible hunting companion and quickly adapts to the hunt.  Raven’s water entry is amazing and her desire to retrieve sends her 15 feet out before she ripples the water (photo of water entry).  Raven has accomplished much in her first two years both in the field and test.  Raven is the ability to be one of our Best at Mud Creek retrievers!  We are anxiously awaiting her first litter in 2008.  We have planned a litter with Deacon. These pups should be perfectly sized, and full of retrieving talent.  Keep an eye on this little girl, she is special!      

Hips: OFA requires minimum 2 yrs. old.  Raven turned 2 on Jan. 24 '08  We are waiting to receive hard copy of certificate.
